Wushi Ridge Tomb

Wushi Ridge Tomb is a cultural tourism attraction.

Wushi Ridge Tomb is located on the southern slope of Wushi Ridge in Tangpu Township, Guihu District, Chao'an County. In 1982, two Eastern Jin Dynasty arched brick-chambered tombs were discovered here. The entrance of Tomb No. 1 had been damaged, and its arched roof had collapsed. The tomb chamber was built with red and gray bricks. The remaining height of the tomb chamber is 1 meter, with a remaining length of 2.22 meters and a width of 0.80 meters. The floor bricks were laid in a herringbone pattern. Among the burial objects was a pottery basin. Tomb No. 2 faces north and is situated to the south; both its entrance and arched roof had collapsed. The tomb chamber was constructed with red, gray, and knife-edged bricks. Burial items included a green-glazed pottery bowl, pottery basin, pottery spinning whorl, and a silver bracelet. A dated brick inscribed with “Tàiyuán Eleventh Year, Tenth Month, First Day” was found on the eastern wall of the tomb chamber. The eleventh year of Tàiyuán corresponds to the year 386 AD.
