Changmei Hundred Houses is located in Changmei Second Village, Fengxi District, and dates back to the Qing Dynasty.

In 2011, Changmei Hundred Houses was designated as a cultural heritage site under the protection of Chaozhou City.

Changmei Second Village: Originally known as October Brigade, the village adopted its current name in 1983 when the brigade system was abolished and replaced with the township system. It is located in the southeastern part of Changmei, bordered by Fengxi to the east, Fengyang and Guxiang of Chao’an County to the west, Huxia to the south, and Changmei First Village and Fuzhong Village of Guxiang Town to the north. Anfeng Highway runs through the village, dividing it into two sections, while the old course of the Xixi River winds from the northeast to the east of the village.
