The Wu Ancestral Hall of Fengxi

The Wu Ancestral Hall of Fengxi is a cultural heritage site protected by Chaozhou City.

The Wu Ancestral Hall of Fengxi is located on Dacitangqian Road, Feng’er Village, Fengxi District, and dates back to the Qing Dynasty.

In 2011, the Wu Ancestral Hall of Fengxi was designated as a cultural heritage site under the protection of Chaozhou City.

Feng’er Village: Feng’er Village includes Xucuoqiao and Pumei (Wei), two villages. It borders Chihu Village to the east and Tian Dong, Xitang, and Yunti in Xiangqiao District to the north. Within Fengxi, it mainly intersects with the Huai De Community Committee, consisting mostly of a mix of industrial and agricultural residents. The Sanli Stream and Anfeng Road run through the village, while the Anjia Highway skirts past it. The village is home to surnames such as Wu, Liu, Lu, and Zhang, with the Wu surname being the most common. The Wu family was also known as "Wu Han" during the Ming Dynasty and migrated from Yunxiao in Zhangzhou. The Wu Clan Grand Ancestral Hall (now Fengxi Primary School), originally built in the Ming Dynasty and rebuilt in the Qing Dynasty, houses stone engravings of calligraphy by Wu Dianbang.
