The Temple of the Dark Emperor is located in Anhou Village, Fuyang Town, Chao'an District, dating back to the Qing Dynasty.

In 2006, the Temple of the Dark Emperor was designated as a cultural relics protection unit of Chaozhou City.

Anhou Village: Anhou Village

Anhou Village is under the jurisdiction of Fuyang Town, Chaozhou City. It is located 0.4 kilometers southeast of the town government, on the eastern side of the town center, bordering Fudong to the east, Dongbian to the south, and Hongxiang to the north, covering an area of 0.32 square kilometers. The settlement is block-shaped and adjoins the town center. Villagers are mostly engaged in commerce and industry after farming. The village is mainly inhabited by two surnames, Huang and Lin, with Huang being the dominant one. It was established in the 23rd year of the Jiajing reign during the Ming Dynasty (1544). The early settlers came from Shishi Lane, Putian, Fujian. After settling down, they jointly built the Lingque Palace in the western part of the village.
