The Lin Clan Ancestral Hall and the Scholar-Official's Mansion are a cultural relics protection unit of Chaozhou City.

The Lin Clan Ancestral Hall and the Scholar-Official's Mansion are located in Xian Du San Cun, Jinshi Town, Chao'an District, with the ancestral hall dating to the Qing Dynasty and the mansion to the Ming Dynasty.

In 2006, the Lin Clan Ancestral Hall and the Scholar-Official's Mansion were designated as a cultural relics protection unit of Chaozhou City.

Xian Du San Cun: Originally part of Xian Du Cun (formerly known as Shandou), Xian Du San Cun became a separate village in 1961. The village consists of two natural settlements, Xiansan and Xiecuo, and is currently home to residents with the surnames Lin and Xie. Both settlements were established during the Song Dynasty. The name "Xian Du" originated from an imperial decree: when the court corresponded with the scholar-official Lin Dajin, who hailed from the village and achieved the highest honors in the imperial examination, the characters “山” (shan, meaning mountain) and “兜” (dou, meaning pouch) in the original village name “Shandou” were homophonically replaced with “仙” (xian, meaning immortal) and “都” (du, meaning capital or district) out of respect for the scholar-official. Hence, the place came to be known as Xian Du. The ruins of the Scholar-Official's Mansion can still be found in the village today.
