Taiqing Mansion is a cultural heritage site protected by Chaozhou City.

Taiqing Mansion is located in Gucuo Village, Jinshi Town, Chao'an District, and dates back to the Qing Dynasty.

In 2012, Taiqing Mansion was designated as a cultural heritage site under the protection of Chaozhou City.

Gucuo Village: Gucuo Village consists of two natural villages — Gucuo (also known as “Dazhai Gu”) and Nanpu Huang (commonly referred to as “Daluding Huang”). The surnames found in the village include Gu, Huang, Hong, Zhuang, and Wu, with Gu being the predominant one. The ancestors of the Gu family migrated from Putian County, Fujian Province, to Wangpubu on Mount Sangpu in the first year of the Chunxi era of the Song Dynasty (1174 AD). Later, due to the remote and sparsely populated location, they moved to the current village site and named the village after their surname, Gucuo. With a history of over 800 years, the villagers adhere to ancestral teachings, uphold etiquette, and are traditionally engaged in the production of wooden crafts. The village is renowned as the “Hometown of Lu Ban’s Craftsmanship.”
