The General's Former Residence is located in Wujialong Village, Shaxi Town, Chao'an District, dating back to the Qing Dynasty.

In 2012, the General's Former Residence was designated as a cultural heritage site under the protection of Chaozhou City.

Shaxi Town: Shaxi Town is situated at the northern foot of Mount Sangpu in the southwestern part of Chaozhou City, at the junction of Chaozhou, Shantou, and Jieyang. It covers a total area of 37.0 square kilometers, comprising 17 village committees and 1 neighborhood committee, with a total population of 55,200. In 2002, the town achieved a combined industrial and agricultural output value of 784 million yuan, industrial and commercial tax revenue of 3.47 million yuan, and an average per capita rural income of 3,717 yuan.
