The Chen Clan Ancestral Temple is a cultural relics protection unit of Chaozhou City.

The Chen Clan Ancestral Temple is located in Nanmen Village, Fengtang Town, Chao’an District, dating back to the Qing Dynasty.

In 2012, the Chen Clan Ancestral Temple was designated as a cultural relics protection unit of Chaozhou City.

Nanmen Village: Nanmen Village

It belongs to Fengtang Town and is situated southeast of the town government. The village got its name because it is located south of the Fengtang area. It borders Dongmen Village to the northeast and Dacheng Village to the west, and connects with Lai’cuo of Nonglong Village to the south. The village was established in the year Bingyin during the Shaoxing era of the Southern Song Dynasty. The local economy is mainly agricultural, with rice and sweet potatoes as the main crops, supplemented by peanuts, sugarcane, and citrus fruits. The lychees from Nanmen are renowned for their thick flesh, small seeds, and sweet, honey-like flavor, making them a local specialty.
