The Ancestral Hall of the Cai Family is a Chaozhou City Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

The Ancestral Hall of the Cai Family is located in Gaosha No. 2 Village, Shaxi Town, Chao’an District. Dating back to the Qing Dynasty, it is classified as an ancient architectural structure.

On April 16, 2020, the Ancestral Hall of the Cai Family was designated as part of the fourth batch of Cultural Relics Protection Units of Chaozhou City.

Shaxi Town: Shaxi Town is situated at the northern foot of Mount Sangpu in the southwestern part of Chaozhou City. It lies at the junction of Chaozhou, Shantou, and Jieyang, covering a total area of 37.0 square kilometers. The town administers 17 village committees and 1 neighborhood committee, with a total population of 55,200. In 2002, the town achieved a combined industrial and agricultural output value of 784 million yuan, industrial and commercial tax revenue of 3.47 million yuan, and an average per capita rural income of 3,717 yuan.

The area boasts abundant tourism resources. The northern foothills of Mount Sangpu are rich in hot springs and mineral springs.
