The Gucuo Heavenly Praise Chastity and Filial Piety Archway is located in Gucuo Village, Jinshi Town, Chao’an District. It dates back to the Qing Dynasty and is categorized as an ancient architectural structure.

On April 16, 2020, the Gucuo Heavenly Praise Chastity and Filial Piety Archway was designated as part of the fourth batch of cultural heritage protection units in Chaozhou City.

Gucuo Village: Gucuo Village consists of two natural villages — Gucuo (also known as "Dazhai Gucuo") and Nanpu Huang (commonly called "Daluding Huang") — and has residents with surnames such as Gucuo, Huang, Hong, Zhuang, and Wu, with the Gucuo surname being the most prevalent. The ancestors of the Gucuo villagers, the Gucuo clan, migrated from Putian County in Fujian Province to Wangpubu at Mount Sangpu in the first year of the Chunxi era of the Song Dynasty (1174 AD). Later, due to the remote location and sparse population, they relocated to the current village site. The village was named after the dominant surname and is now over 800 years old. The villagers adhere to ancestral teachings, value etiquette, and traditionally engage in the production of wooden products, earning the area the reputation as the "Hometown of Lu Ban’s Craftsmanship."
