Shaxi Theater

Shaxi Theater is a cultural heritage protection unit of Chaozhou City.

Shaxi Theater is located in Shayi Village, Shaxi Town, Chao'an District. It was built in 1987 and is categorized as an important modern historical site and representative building.

On April 16, 2020, Shaxi Theater was designated as part of the fourth batch of cultural heritage protection units in Chaozhou City.

Shaxi Town: Shaxi Town is situated at the northern foot of the Sangpu Mountain in the southwestern part of Chaozhou City. It lies at the junction of Chaozhou, Shantou, and Jieyang, covering a total area of 37.0 square kilometers. The town administers 17 village committees and 1 neighborhood committee, with a total population of 55,200. In 2002, the town achieved a combined industrial and agricultural output value of 784 million yuan, industrial and commercial tax revenue of 3.47 million yuan, and an average per capita rural income of 3,717 yuan.

The area boasts abundant tourism resources. At the northern foot of Sangpu Mountain, there are rich hot springs and mineral springs.
