Huang Ancestral Hall of Xianzhou (Former Site of Chao’an County Committee During the “Seven-Day Red” Period in Chaozhou) is a cultural relic protection unit of Chaozhou City and a classic red tourism destination.

Huang Ancestral Hall of Xianzhou (Former Site of Chao’an County Committee During the “Seven-Day Red” Period in Chaozhou) is located in Xianzhou Village, Jiangdong Town, Chao’an District. Dating back to 1927, it is categorized as an important modern historical site and representative architecture.

On April 16, 2020, Huang Ancestral Hall of Xianzhou (Former Site of Chao’an County Committee During the “Seven-Day Red” Period in Chaozhou) was designated as part of the fourth batch of cultural relic protection units of Chaozhou City.

Xianzhou Village: Xianzhou Village

In the past, Xianzhou Village consisted of two natural villages: Xianzhou and Kezuoxiang. The residents of Xianzhou were surnamed Huang, while those of Kezuoxiang were surnamed Ke. Over time, the two villages gradually merged into one. After the founding of the People’s Republic of China, their politics, economy, and culture became inseparable, and the villagers of the Huang and Ke families lived together, making the distinction between the two villages disappear. Xianzhou Village is situated on the southern side of the town, bordered by the Han River dike to the west, Dutou to the south, fields to the east, and Xiazhuang to the north. The village covers an area of 2.2 square kilometers.

The ancestors of the Huang family, Huang He’an, migrated from Shuangjingkou in Nanfeng, Jiangxi, to Wujingjiao in Jiangdong (formerly outside the dike at Kezuoxiang…) More details about Xianzhou Village ++
