It borders Raoping to the east, Dabu to the north, and Fengshun to the west, covering a total area of 231.73 square kilometers. The elevation ranges between 350 and 1,498 meters, with green mountains surrounding the area and crisscrossing mountain ranges. The terrain gently slopes from northeast to southwest. The region features competing peaks and rushing streams, with the main peak of Phoenix Mountain, Wujishan (Black Tassel Mountain), standing within its boundaries at an elevation of 1,497 meters, making it the highest peak in eastern Guangdong.
