Xinxiang Renmeili

Xinxiang Renmeili is a cultural heritage site protected at the Guangdong Provincial level.

Xinxiang Renmeili is located in Xinxiang Village, Fengtang Town, Chao’an District, Chaozhou City, dating back to the years 1900–1911.

The main structures include the Haichou Ancestral Hall, Ronglu Residence, Rear Building, the gate of Zhiyong Higher Primary School, the former site of Zhiyong Higher Primary School, the Renmeili Gatehouse, and surrounding walls.

On April 19, 2019, Xinxiang Renmeili was announced as part of the ninth batch of Guangdong Provincial Cultural Heritage Protection Units.

Fengtang Town: Fengtang Town is located in the western suburbs of Chaozhou City, adjacent to Jieyang City, and serves as the “golden triangle” connecting Chaozhou, Shantou, and Jieyang. It covers a total area of 42 square kilometers, with over 26,941 acres of arable land. The town governs 30 village committees and one neighborhood committee, with a total population of 80,000. In 2004, the total industrial and agricultural output value of the town reached 1.26 billion yuan, an increase of 11.5%, with industrial output valued at 1.156 billion yuan, up 12%.
