Tomb of Lu Tong

The Tomb of Lu Tong is a cultural relic protection unit of Guangdong Province.

Lu Tong, the progenitor of both Fujian and Guangdong and one of the Eight Sages of Chaozhou during the Tang and Song dynasties, has his tomb located on Dengtang Mountain in Chaozhou. The ancestral tomb is called “Moonlight in the Clouds” or alternatively “Cloud Dragon Playing with a Pearl.”

Stone statues of officials and mythical beasts stand solemnly in front of the tomb, exuding an imposing and majestic atmosphere. (Renovated between 1990 and 1992), and the tomb site has been listed as part of the Eighth Batch of Cultural Relics Protection Units in Guangdong Province and also as a cultural relics protection unit of Chao’an District, Chaozhou City.
