Longhu Bay Bridge

Located in the waters of Mayu Island at the eastern entrance of Shantou Port, it is a cross-sea highway bridge. The bridge deck spans the Queshi Sea, with a total length of 2,500 meters. It consists of three parts: the southern section is a prestressed reinforced concrete cable-stayed bridge with an enlarged stiffening girder that crosses the south channel of Huangsha Bay; the northern section is a prestressed reinforced concrete beam bridge crossing the north channel; the central section is a prestressed elevated viaduct spanning Mayu Island. The main span of the bridge has a clear navigation width of 452 meters and a clearance height of 46 meters, allowing the passage of 50,000-ton vessels. This bridge is an auxiliary facility of the first-class expressway dedicated to vehicles between Shenzhen and Shantou, serving as a land transportation link connecting the four special economic zones of Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Shantou, and Xiamen.
