The former site of the Chaozhou Customs Taxation Office is located at the northern foothills of Mawei Island in Longhu District. It dates back to the Qing Dynasty and is categorized as an important modern historical site and representative architecture.
On October 6, 1994, the former site of the Chaozhou Customs Taxation Office was designated as a Shantou Municipal Cultural Relics Protection Unit.
