The Xie Clan Ancestral Hall is located at No. 104-1, Xinjie, Haibin Village, Shen’ao Town, Nan’ao County, Shantou City. The hall faces north and features a traditional three-courtyard, two-patio layout, with the main section constructed using a post-and-lintel system. According to the 1945 "Nan'ao County Annals", Xie Youde (whose father was Xie Guotai), who once served as an acting official in Zhejiang, had a residence south of the county seat (now Shen’ao Town). The ancestral hall was built around the Daoguang period of the Qing Dynasty. It houses a plaque inscribed with “Zǎofèn Rúlín” (Excels in the Literati), which reads: (In the 7th year of the Xianfeng reign) Grand Tutor, Minister of War, Governor-General of Liangguang, First-Class Earl Ye / bestowed this upon / Excels in the Literati / Jinshi scholar and appointed Confucian education official Xie Shengwu.
