Heshui Revolutionary Martyrs' Cemetery is a classic red tourism destination and a patriotic education base.

The Heshui Revolutionary Martyrs Monument is located at the top of Shamao Hill on Xianlie Road in Heshui Market, Genghe Town, Gaoming District. Constructed in 1988, it faces north and features a concrete diamond-shaped structure. Standing 15 meters tall, the first level is the base, about 8 meters high; the second level is the monument itself, about 6 meters high, with the eight characters “Revolutionary Martyrs Live Forever” inscribed on all three sides; the third level is the spire, about 1 meter high, shaped like a pen tip. On both the left and right sides of the monument are two hexagonal concrete pavilions.

Genghe Town is a veteran revolutionary base area. During the War of Resistance Against Japan and the Liberation War, under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, brave locals joined the revolution, advancing wave after wave, remaining resolute and unyielding, fighting bravely, and sacrificing their lives for the liberation of the nation. To honor these martyrs and inspire future generations, the town erected this monument. It bears the names and heroic deeds of 51 revolutionary martyrs.

This monument serves as a patriotic education base for our district, playing a significant role in educating local youth—and even those across the district—about the revolutionary traditions.

Transportation: Take bus 501, 502, 510, or 511 from Gaoming Bus Station to Heshui Market, then walk toward Heshui Primary School—the monument is located opposite the school on Shamao Hill.
