Lujia Ancient Village

Lujia Ancient Village is located in Liucun, Zhaoming Neighborhood Committee, Heceng Subdistrict, Gaoming District, Foshan City. Built during the Ming Dynasty, it currently has 68 well-preserved houses all facing north to south. These are traditional three-bay, two-corridor homes with wok-handle-shaped gables and dragon boat-style ridges. The village features eight gate towers and eight ancient alleys arranged in rows, covering a total width of 133.43 meters and a depth of 67.5 meters, with a total area of nearly 10,000 square meters. An ancient stone path lies in front of the village, and in front of the path are three ancient water docks. To the west are two ancient ancestral halls.

Zhaoming Community: The Zhaoming Community Neighborhood Committee is situated to the north of Heceng, approximately 15 kilometers from the Heceng Subdistrict Office. It administers 17 natural villages including Guantang, Shaliao, and Maning, among which Guantang Village is a former revolutionary base area. The community has around 1,200 resident households and a population of 4,560. The community’s two committees consist of six cadres, and there are over 220 party members.

Currently, 11 resident groups within the jurisdiction are fully land-expropriated industrial park villages. There are more than 20 enterprises already built and operational in the area, including FSL Lighting, Fuwan Lake Hotel, and Xinzht Furniture Factory.
