Xianshan Park

Xianshan Park—also known as Xishan, is located on the west bank of the Liling River, bordering Xianyue Mountain to the south and the Lu River to the north. Established as Xianshan Park in 1993, the park houses the Jingxing Temple and the Memorial Shrine of Famous Song Dynasty Officials. In front of the shrine stands a thousand-year-old camphor tree, to its right is the Lujiang Academy, and below the academy are the Heart-Cleansing Spring and the Tomb of Hongfu.

Legend has it that when Li Jing pacified the Linggui region in the south, Hongfu accompanied him but fell ill and passed away in Liling, where she was buried on Xishan. Entering the park from the southern main gate and ascending the mountain, you’ll find multiple recreational areas along a winding path surrounded by birdsong and floral scents. Entering from the northern main gate and climbing the steps leads to the Martyrs’ Cemetery, and further up is the Monument to General Zuo Quan.
