Deep in Zhuting lies Longtan Reservoir. It stretches majestically for over 10 li, with depths ranging from several meters to tens of meters, and has a total capacity of 7.6 million cubic meters—what an imposing sight it is. What makes Longtan Reservoir special is that despite such a massive water storage volume, no rivers flow into it. It relies entirely on collecting rainwater from the surrounding mountains and the springs from its many gullies, accumulating it bit by bit until it reaches an incredible total of 7 million cubic meters.
