Yizhang Martyrs' Cemetery is a classic red tourism destination.

Yizhang Martyrs' Cemetery is located on Beimenling in Yizhang County. Yizhang was the birthplace of the Xiangnan Uprising and is one of the 27 key old revolutionary base counties in Hunan Province. Under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, the people of Yizhang’s old revolutionary base persisted in their struggle for a long time. Over 3,700 locals joined the Red Army, and more than 14,000 revolutionaries and civilians were persecuted to death by reactionaries during the revolutionary period, including 1,352 named martyrs such as Deng Zhongxia, Hu Shaohai, and Chen Dongri. To commemorate the martyrs’ achievements and promote their spirit, the cemetery was first built in 1966, covering an area of 290,000 square meters. It includes a martyrs' memorial tower, memorial hall, memorial pavilion, memorial square, memorial corridor, and martyrs' tombs. The cemetery is a provincial-level martyrs' memorial facility protection unit in Hunan Province.
