Overview: Ouyang Yi was born here in 1910. In January 1928, he participated in the Xiangnan Uprising and went up to Jinggangshan in April. He made outstanding contributions in the fields of long-term political security and counter-espionage work. In 1955, he was awarded the rank of Lieutenant General. Announced by the Chenzhou Municipal People's Government in 2008 (Second Batch)

Matian Village: Located 45 kilometers southeast of Zuoquan County and at the site of the town government, Matian Village lies at the junction of two provinces (Shanxi and Hebei) and three counties (Zuoquan, Licheng, and Shexian), on the western side of the middle section of the Taihang Mountains and along the middle and lower reaches of the Qingzhang River. With its picturesque mountain landscapes resembling a hundred-mile gallery and waterscapes reminiscent of the beauty of southern China, it is known as the “Little Jiangnan” of the Taihang Mountains. The Yangshe Railway and Provincial Highway Qinshe run near the village, offering convenient transportation. Matian Village consists of seven natural villages, governing 936 households and a population of 3,479. It currently has 1,494 mu of arable land.
