Chengjiang Scenic Area

With verdant mountains and picturesque waters, Chengjiangkou is a paradise on earth. The Chengjiangkou Scenic Area is located in Chengjiang Village, Chengshui Town, Zixing City. Since ancient times, it has been celebrated as having “the finest waters in Chengxiang under heaven” and is one of the eight ancient scenic wonders of Zixing. Han Yu left behind cliff inscriptions reading “Changli passed here” and composed the timeless poem “Moored at Chengjiangkou.” Xu Xiake described it as a “heavenly realm on earth.”

Paddle a small boat and experience the feeling of “a little bamboo raft drifting on the river, while towering green mountains seem to walk along the banks.” As you drift through this painting-like scenery, only Xu Zhimo’s lines—“Very quietly I take my leave / As quietly as I came here; / Gently I flick my sleeves / Not even a wisp of cloud will I bring away”—can truly capture the mood of the moment.
