Former Sites of the Longxi Revolutionary Base

The Former Sites of the Longxi Revolutionary Base are a municipal-level cultural heritage site in Chenzhou.

The Former Sites of the Longxi Revolutionary Base (including the Site of the Xiangnan Special Committee, Red Army Stone, Hero Tree, and Stone Battlements) are located in Zhongtang Village, Longxi Township, Zixing City, dating back to the Republican era.

In 2012, the Former Sites of the Longxi Revolutionary Base were designated as part of the third batch of municipal-level cultural heritage protection units by the Chenzhou Municipal People's Government.

Protected Area: Extends 50 meters in all directions from the outer foundation of the sites.

Construction Control Zone: Extends 150 meters outward in all directions from the protected area.

Longxi Township: Abolished. Its administrative regions have been incorporated into the newly established Huangcao Town and Bailang Town.

A township under the jurisdiction of Zixing City. It was part of the Fifth District in 1949, established as Longxi Township in 1956, and came under the Rocket Commune in 1958. Renamed Longxi Commune in 1959 and changed back to a township in 1984. It is 30.1 km from the city center, covering an area of 84 square kilometers with a population of 5,000. The township government is located in Sheqian. The Old (City)–Long (Xi)–Huang (Cao) Highway runs through the township.
