Ink Well

The Ink Well is a cultural heritage protection unit of Hunan Province.

The Ink Well is located in Yisuhe Town, Xiangtan County, Xiangtan City, dating back to the Song Dynasty.

In 2019, the Ink Well was approved as part of the tenth batch of provincial-level cultural heritage protection units in Hunan Province.

Yisuhe Town: Meilinqiao Town and Yisuhe Town were merged to form Yisuhe Town.

A town under the jurisdiction of Xiangtan County. It is the seat of the county government. Established as Yisu Town in 1949, it incorporated the former Yisuhe and Shangma townships in 1993 to form its current boundaries. Located in the northeast of the county, it is 9 kilometers from Xiangtan City, covers an area of 74 square kilometers, and has a population of 50,000. The town government is located on Cedar Road. National Highway 107 passes through here. It administers 17 village committees including Yantang, Jingzhu, Shantang, Qingshi, Fujiang, Yangxibu, Zhangshu, Hezhou, Yintang, Shan Yin, Jinxia, Chihu, Bajiao, Qingguang, Shangma, Yunlong, and Shuizhuwan, as well as the communities of Ink Well, Chengtang, and Niutouling...
