【Ruins of the Shangdong Tusi Government Office】 Located at the current site of the Shangdongjie Township Government in Sangzhi, 45 kilometers west of the county seat, this was the seat of the Xiang clan Tusi government in Sangzhi. According to<柿溪州志）和清乾隆载：（柿溪州首任宣抚使）向克武，其先系南京珠市街汪阁土地人氏，于北宋建隆三年(962)奉调平柿溪蛮，功授柿溪军民宣抚使职，于斯地设衙建城。明永乐二年(1404)，传至9世纪仕金卒，仲贤、仲舜、仲贵三子争袭；宣德四年(1429)旨谕其分袭上、中、下三峒长官司使。仲贤于柿溪司治任上洞长官司使，下传15世，历24代计774年，至今已逾千年。”司治座北朝南，傍山襟水，块石垒墙，木构板房，沿澧水南源高岸呈条状布局，青石街道近700米，是土家风格建筑群，清末民初被毁。现辟为集镇，附近有向克武以下土司墓葬19冢。

Shangdongjie Township was established as an administrative township in 1954, merged into Liaojiacun Town in 1995, and reinstated as a township in 1998, with its seat located in Shangdongjie Village. It lies in the southwestern border area of Sangzhi County, 36 kilometers from the county seat, bordering Lifu Town, Liaojiacun Town, and Dagquan Township within the county, as well as Shaba Town, Maoba Township, Yanjing Township, and Wanmenggang Township of Yongshun County.
