Located on Xiadong Street in Lianghekou Township, Sangzhi County, approximately 25 kilometers northwest of the county seat, it was established by Xiang Zhonggui and passed down through 12 generations for 306 years. After the Qing Dynasty’s Yongzheng Emperor implemented the “Change of Native Chieftainships to Regular Administrative System,” a patrol inspection yamen was still built here, along with a free school that operated until the end of the Qing Dynasty. The city walls faced north-south, with Longjing Mountain to the north, and the southern source of the Lishui River meandering from the southwest around the city to flow eastward. The buildings were all made of wood and arranged in a “T” shape, stretching 1 kilometer in length and 500 meters in width, covering an area of nearly 2 hectares. The site was majestic in appearance. It was destroyed in the early years of the Republic of China. The old site was later used by descendants of the Xiang family to build residences, gradually forming a village that largely retained the layout of streets. Nearby, there are 10 well-preserved tombs of Tusi officials such as Xiang Hualong.

Lianghekou Township is located about 22 kilometers northwest of Sangzhi County. It borders Dagquan Township to the east, and connects with Liaojia Village Town and Wanmin Township of Yongshun County to the south. The eastern and western parts of the township are mountainous, while the central area has low and gentle terrain. The total area of the township is 42 square kilometers, with cultivated land spanning 6,013 mu, including 4,263 mu of paddy fields and 1,750 mu of dry land. It governs 14 villages, including Wudutan Village, Xiadongjie Village, and Tianjia Village, comprising a total of 89 villager groups.
