The Nancha Western Han Tombs are a cultural relic protection unit of Zhangjiajie City.

【Nancha Western Han Tombs】

Located in Wujia Bay area of Nancha Village, Nancha Township, Sangzhi County, there are nearly 300 circular tomb mounds with a height of about 2 meters and a diameter of 3 meters, covering an area of 30,000 square meters. Some tombs have been eroded by wind and exposed on the surface, revealing several brick-chambered tombs with geometric patterns. Discovered during a survey by the Xiangxi Autonomous Prefecture Cultural Relics Team in 1960, they were identified as a cluster of Western Han tombs. In 1962, they were designated as a prefectural-level key cultural relic protection unit. They suffered repeated damage during the Cultural Revolution. In 1979, they were once again listed as a prefectural-level key cultural relic protection unit.
