Most ancestral halls in Zhongfang County were built during the Ming and Qing dynasties, with many listed as provincial or municipal-level cultural heritage protection units or scenic spots. Particularly well-preserved in the eastern half of the county, they dot the courtyards or villages where certain surnames are relatively concentrated, like brilliant pearls, exuding an ancient charm that takes visitors back through time to the pastoral scenery of the Ming and Qing eras.
