The Xie Family Ancestral Hall of Nanjiapu is a cultural heritage protection unit of Hunan Province.

The Xie Family Ancestral Hall of Nanjiapu is located in Tongding Town, Zhongfang County, Huaihua City, and dates back to the Ming Dynasty.

In 2019, the Xie Family Ancestral Hall of Nanjiapu was approved as part of the tenth batch of provincial-level cultural heritage protection units in Hunan Province.

Tongding Town: Tongding Township is situated along the upper reaches of the Yuan River, in the northeast corner of Zhongfang County, approximately 62 kilometers from downtown Huaihua. It borders Xianrenwan Township of Chenxi County to the north, Longtou’an Township of Chenxi County to the northeast, Dingjia Township of our county to the southeast, Tongwan Town of our county to the south, and Longchang Township of our county to the west. The township stretches 6 kilometers from east to west and 12 kilometers from north to south.

The township government is located in Tongdingping Village. Legend has it that the village was once a small settlement shaped like an iron cauldron, with flat terrain, a large river in the front and a dried-up small river at the back.
