Ghost Burial Mountain

Ghost Burial Mountain is located in Hongxing Village, Xiaojiangkou Township, on the right bank of the Xushui River. Backed by Mount Leifeng and facing the Xushui River, the mysterious giant cliff stands 200 meters high and stretches about one kilometer, featuring a colorful precipice. Atop the cliff are ancient hanging coffins, which date back 3,000 years and are visible from below. These coffins are placed in caves within the smooth, flat cliffs. Over the centuries, poets and travelers have visited this site and left poems in admiration, their faded inscriptions still faintly visible. About 500 meters northwest of here lies Niulanchong, where rugged peaks rise abruptly and steep cliffs stand densely, creating an exceptionally precipitous landscape. Legend has it that Niu Wancai, a general under Li Zicheng at the end of the Yuan Dynasty, met his demise here, leaving behind historical ruins.
