Xupu Jade Emperor Palace

Xupu Jade Emperor Palace is located on Boat-shaped Mountain in Xikou Village, Shuidong Town, Xupu County, Huaihua City. The mountain features towering peaks, a majestic terrain, and an ethereal, otherworldly atmosphere, making it a spectacular sight. The Taoist temple was first built in the 47th year of the Wanli reign during the Ming Dynasty (1619). Originally known as "Huilong Hall," it was demolished during the Cultural Revolution but was rebuilt in 1993. It now houses various architectural facilities including the Five Sacred Mountains Hall, Black Deity Hall, Goddess of Mercy Hall, Child-Giving Hall, Three Stars Hall, God of Wealth Hall, Wenchang Hall, Ancestral Master Hall, Earth Mother Hall, Medicine King Hall, Jade Emperor Hall, and Three Pure Ones Hall, covering a total area of over 13,000 square meters. The temple is currently overseen by Taoist priest Zhou Xinyin, Vice President of the Hunan Taoist Association.
