Longtan Town: Longtan Town is a key border town in the southern part of Xupu County. To the east, it borders the towering Cheyan Ridge, adjacent to G ezhuiping Town and Dahuaxiang Township; to the south, it neighbors Wen Shui Township; to the west, it lies against Baiqiangzhai, close to Hengbanqiao Township and Huangmaoyuan Town; to the north, it borders Jinshishan and connects with Beidouxi Township.

Longtan Town is located at the center of the four townships and three towns under the Longtan Office, serving as the economic, political, and cultural hub for Longtan’s population of 140,000.

Longtan Fort was established in the second year of the Yuanfeng era during the Northern Song Dynasty (1079), and Longtan Town was initially set up in the second year of the Republic of China (1913).
