The Martyrs' Cemetery of the Xiang-E-Chuan-Qian Revolutionary Base is a classic red tourism destination, as well as a patriotic education base and national defense education base.

The Martyrs' Cemetery of the Xiang-E-Chuan-Qian Revolutionary Base is located in Tuowo Town, Yongshun County. Yongshun is a region inhabited by ethnic minorities and a well-known old revolutionary base. During the Second Revolutionary Civil War, veteran revolutionaries such as Ren Bishi and He Long led the Second and Sixth Red Armies to establish the Xiang-E-Chuan-Qian Revolutionary Base centered around Tuowo. On December 10, 1934, provincial-level government agencies moved to Tuowo in Yongshun. Over ten county-level Party committees and nine county-level Soviet governments were subsequently established. The Second and Sixth Red Armies grew from a combined force of just over 7,000 at their convergence to more than 20,000, forming the Second Front Army of the Red Army. The Yongshun Soviet Area saw over 80,000 people join or support the Red Army in combat, with more than 11,800 sacrificing their lives, including over 550 officers at the regimental level or above. To commemorate the fallen martyrs, the cemetery was first built in 1983, covering an area of 200,000 square meters. It includes the Revolutionary Martyrs Hall, Victory Square, Freedom Square, relief wall, Loyal Souls Memorial Corridor, sculptures, and the martyrs' cemetery area. The cemetery is a provincial-level martyrs' memorial facility protection unit in Hunan Province and also serves as a patriotic education base in the province.
