The Yangfeng Ancient City Ruins are a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

The Yangfeng Ancient City Ruins are located in Yangfeng Village, Shidi Town, Yongshun County. They were discovered during the third national cultural relics survey in 2009, covering a total area of 1,156,334 square meters, making them the largest ancient city ruins discovered so far in the Wuling Mountain area. The ancient city faces south and has four gates—east, west, south, and north. The internal layout includes administrative areas, residential zones, burial areas, streets, bridges, ancient wells, etc. The layout is rigorous and well-preserved, holding significant scientific research value for the study of the politics, economy, military, culture, and social development of the Wuling Mountain region.

In 2013, the State Council announced the seventh batch of National Key Cultural Relics Protection Units, comprising a total of 1,943 sites, among which the “Yangfeng Ancient City Ruins” in Yongshun County were included.
