The Site of Buyi Fort is a protected cultural heritage site of Hubei Province.

Site of Buyi Fort

Located in Buyiping Village, Xunjian Town, Nanzhang County, Xiangfan City, this is a mountain fort from the Qing Dynasty. Entirely built of stone, it stretches east-west along the mountain slope, measuring 38.9 meters in length and 19.1 meters in width. The fort walls are 1–1.1 meters thick and have a remaining height of 3–5 meters. There are east and west gates, both of the same design. Buildings inside the fort were constructed along the walls, with 15 rooms remaining. The fort served multiple functions—defense, refuge, and residence—and is an important physical relic for studying late Qing society. (Fifth Batch)
