The Ganxi Residential Houses are designated as a Cultural Relics Protection Unit of Hubei Province.

Ganxi Residential Houses

Located in Ganxi Village, Xunjian Town, Nanzhang County. Built during the Qing Dynasty. There are two identical structures, both facing west and oriented east, constructed with a composite of brick, stone, wood, and earth. They feature an axial symmetrical layout with a two-courtyard design. The complex includes 56 rooms and covers a construction area of 1,520 square meters. These buildings are typical residences of northwestern Hubei and serve as important references for the study of local Hubei architecture. (Fifth Batch)
