Former Residence of Wan Xianyan and Wan Xixian

Located in Wandacun Village, Xian Township, Huangmei County. Wan Xianyan (1903–1928), a native of Huangmei, Hubei, joined the Chinese Communist Party in 1923. During the May Thirtieth Movement in 1925, he was one of the main leaders of the Nanjing labor and workers' movement. He once served as a member of the Hubei Provincial Committee of the CCP, editor-in-chief of the Chu Guang Daily, executive committee member and head of the propaganda department of the Hankou Special Municipal Party Committee of the Kuomintang, editor-in-chief of the Min Guo Daily, member of the Jiangxi Provincial Committee of the CCP and head of its propaganda department. The residence was built in the late Qing Dynasty, with a width of two bays, a depth of one bay, and an area of 74 square meters. It is a brick-and-wood structure. Wan Xixian (1906–1930), also a native of Huangmei, Hubei, joined the CCP in 1925. During the Great Revolution, he held positions such as representative of the 10th Division of the Fourth Red Army, secretary of the Chaling County Committee of the CCP, and standing committee member of the Xianggan Border Special Committee. The residence was built in the late Qing Dynasty, with three bays in width, one bay in depth, and an area of approximately 220 square meters. It is a brick-and-wood structure. This former residence bears witness to the early lives of Wan Xianyan and Wan Xixian and their gradual path toward revolution, holding significant historical value and educational meaning.
