Dongning Temple

Dongning Temple is a cultural relic protection unit of Henan Province.

Dongning Temple was originally built during the Tang Dynasty. Due to its long history and the vicissitudes of time, the temple fell into severe disrepair. It was rebuilt in the 30th year of the Republic of China. The temple covers an area of 18 mu, featuring majestic architecture including a main hall, side halls, a pagoda, and a stone Buddha statue from the Tang Dynasty. The main hall is 15.6 meters wide and 9 meters deep, while the pagoda stands 26 meters tall with eight stories. In 1985, it was designated as a county-level cultural relic protection unit by the Xinxiang County People's Government.
