Xinxiang Tianning Temple

Xinxiang Tianning Temple is a cultural tourism attraction.

Originally built during the Cheng’an era of the Jin Dynasty (1196), it was initially named Damihuimiao Temple. During the Jianwen era of the Ming Dynasty, it was renamed “Tianming Temple,” and in the Shunzhi era of the Qing Dynasty, it became known as “Tianning Temple.”

The temple originally had a main hall, middle hall, White-robed Buddha Hall, Sangharama Hall, as well as a mountain gate and bell-drum towers. The temple complex was majestic and grand, with flourishing incense offerings. During the Cultural Revolution, the temple was completely destroyed. In 2003, a new mountain gate was rebuilt, along with two bell-drum towers, and auxiliary halls and other structures are currently under active planning and construction.

The temple currently has one well used by monks for drinking water and one Blood Oath Stone Tablet.
