Fangcheng Dashisi Forest Park

Fangcheng Dashisi Forest Park is a national AA-level tourist attraction.

Dashisi Forest Park was established in July 2000 as a provincial-level forest park approved by the Provincial Forestry Department on the basis of the state-owned Dashisi Forest Farm. Covering an area of over 38,000 mu, it encompasses more than 30 peaks. The park boasts dense forests, pleasant scenery, and abundant wildlife and plant resources. It is home to historical sites such as the Dacheng Mountain Huoguo Puyan Chan Temple built during the Yuan Dynasty, six stockades, six caves, five temples, four nunneries, four pools, one tower, one pavilion, one Heaven Gate, as well as natural and cultural attractions like Ancient Tree Embracing Son, Autumn Moon over Dragon Pool, and Sunset at the Pigeon Cliff. The Henan 155 Microwave Station stands majestically atop the peak of Bailong Mountain, forming a breathtaking and picturesque landscape.

The thousand-year-old ginkgo tree thrives with vitality, while the ancient Puyan Temple is one of Henan’s renowned temples. Majestic mountains rise gracefully, their undulating ridges covered in lush greenery. Autumn Moon over Dragon Pool resembles a bright mirror nestled between two mountains, reflecting the surrounding landscape. Scenic spots such as Wangfu Mountain, Wangmang Stockade, East and West Palace Niangniang Mountains, Bailong Stockade, Three Dragon Pools, and General Peak number over ten, each with a beautiful legend.

Wildflowers bloom like crimson lips in spring, while pines and cypresses on the peaks have long stood in companionship.

Amidst the forest’s chorus of birds and cicadas, the mountain spring gently washes away the dust.
