Must-have for Spring Festival travel: a lazy guide to 19 theme park deals across Taiwan

In the Year of the Rooster 2017, the Tourism Bureau under the Ministry of Transportation and Communications led theme parks across Taiwan to launch the “Great Rooster, Great Luck. Park Bag of Blessings” Spring Festival limited-time promotion, inviting families to visit theme parks during the Lunar New Year for fun and festivity.

[Rooster Brings Joy to Yunxian – Cable Car + Sakura Meal for Just NT$488 per Person]
With cherry blossoms in full bloom around Wulai Mountain before and after the Lunar New Year, it’s the peak season for cherry blossom viewing. Yunxian Theme Park, known for its eco-friendly attractions, has specially launched a Spring Cherry Blossom Day Pass for the season — cable car ride plus sakura meal for just NT$488 per person, offering visitors a rich and delicious cherry blossom experience.

[Spring Visit to Yehliu: See Dolphins & Enjoy Free Digital Ocean Play]

[Cherry Blossom Hunt at Dongshi Forest Farm]
The period around the Lunar New Year is peak cherry blossom season. Visit Dongshi Forest Farm during the Spring Festival for a spring outing and admire the mountain covered in fiery red cherry blossoms. Cherry blossoms are spread throughout the farm, mainly mountain cherries, with over 10,000 trees in total, plus a few improved varieties such as double-flowered cherry, Yoshino cherry, and Oshima cherry. With a large quantity and many cultivars, it’s the best cherry blossom viewing spot in Taiwan.
