Luohe Zhongzhou Anti-Japanese War Memorial

The Luohe Zhongzhou Anti-Japanese War Memorial is located in the middle section of Heshang Street Ancient Town, southwest of the Anti-Japanese War Memorial Square. With a construction area of 1,000 square meters, it is a large-scale comprehensive thematic memorial that reflects the eight-year resistance efforts of the people of Central China, based on the important historical event of the surrender ceremony in Luohe, where a pavilion was built and a monument erected.

The memorial was constructed with investment from Kaiyuan Group. The exhibition content was developed after consulting multiple experts and scholars in the history of the Anti-Japanese War, with the displayed materials repeatedly reviewed and revised to more accurately portray the significant contributions made by the people of Central China to the victory of the war.

The memorial has three floors in total. The second and third floors are exhibition halls divided into seven major sections: I. The Long-Planned Continental Policy; II. The Outbreak of the Full-Scale War of Resistance and the Flourishing Salvation Movement in Central China; III. The Frenzied Attacks by the Japanese Invaders on Central China; IV. The Vigorous Resistance of the People of Central China; V. The Complete Defeat of Japanese Fascism; VI. Records of Martyrs in the Central China Resistance; VII. Epilogue. The first floor, titled Red Memory, mainly exhibits various items related to the war. The entire exhibition hall presents the history of the resistance through a combination of physical artifacts and textual and visual materials.

Among them, the original monument of the Surrender Pavilion is displayed in the museum as a provincial-level cultural relic. It has become one of the patriotic education bases in Henan Province for commemorating revolutionary martyrs.
