Huangzhong Site

The Huangzhong Site is a cultural tourism attraction.

The Huangzhong Site in Gaosi Town is located 26 kilometers south of the city proper, northeast of Huangzhong Village. Originally a hilly highland, it now has the Huangzhong Village School built on top of it, with no discernible surface relics. According to drilling surveys, the cultural layer of the site is 22 meters deep, stretching 100 meters from east to west and 65 meters from north to south, covering an area of 6,500 square meters. The upper layer of the site belongs to the Han-Wei period, while the lower layer contains artifacts from the Shang-Zhou and Longshan cultures, including pottery from the Shang-Zhou periods, Longshan pottery, and relics from the Han Dynasty such as dou (food vessels) and ding (tripod cauldrons).
