Fenquan River National Wetland Park is a national-level wetland park.

Fenquan River National Wetland Park is located in Xiangcheng City, Henan Province. It is a tributary of the Huai River system and features a typical water network wetland ecosystem of the Huang-Huai Plain. The park includes wetlands along sections of rivers within Xiangcheng City such as Fuma Gully, the lower reaches of the Qingshui River, Changhong Canal, the Gu River, the Fen River, and the Ni River. The total area is 1,154.55 hectares, of which the wetland area is 1,020.34 hectares, accounting for a high wetland ratio of 88.38%.

On February 11, 2014, the State Forestry Administration approved the application submitted by Xiangcheng City, and Henan Fenquan River Wetland was officially designated as a national wetland park (pilot), becoming another wetland park at the national level in Zhoukou City after the Huaiyang Longhu National Wetland Park.

Fenquan River National Wetland Park is a tributary of the Huai River system and features a typical water network wetland ecosystem of the Huang-Huai Plain. The park includes wetlands along sections of rivers within Xiangcheng City such as Fuma Gully, the lower reaches of the Qingshui River, Changhong Canal, the Gu River, the Fen River, and the Ni River. The total area is 1,154.55 hectares, of which the wetland area is 1,020.34 hectares, accounting for a high wetland ratio of 88.38%. The project is an ecological and socially beneficial public welfare initiative, delivering significant ecological, social, and economic benefits. Through measures such as water system regulation, water quality protection, and shoreline conservation, 882.1 hectares of wetland area have been protected and restored. This effectively safeguards the river wetland ecosystem of Xiangcheng City, ensures the safety of water source quality, and protects wildlife and their habitats, improving regional water quality from Class V to Class III. The construction period of the project is 8 years, with an investment requirement of 175,745,200 yuan.
