The Sun Dian Site is a protected cultural heritage site of Henan Province.

Located 35 kilometers southwest of the city center, north of the Sun Dian Town government, the site area is a tortoise-back shaped highland. It spans 254 meters from southeast to northwest and 358 meters from north to south, with a cultural layer about 0.7 meters thick. It contains both Longshan Culture and Shang Dynasty cultural remains.

Unearthed artifacts include stone axes, stone chisels, stone arrowheads, flared-rim jars, flat-bottomed bowls, and polished black pottery basins with folded bodies—all characteristic of the Longshan Culture. Shang Dynasty cultural remains include fragments such as li tripod feet and jar rims, decorated with cord markings and added coil designs.

This site was designated as a county-level key cultural heritage protection unit in 1978. On June 16, 2008, it was announced as a provincial-level cultural heritage protection unit by the provincial government.
