Millennium Jujube Garden

The Millennium Ancient Jujube Garden is located in Qiankou Village, Liucun Township, adjacent to the Tangpu Railway. Covering an area of 500 acres, most of the jujube trees here are over 1,000 years old, with trunks about 170 cm in circumference. The ancient jujube trees have sprawling canopies, majestic statures, and twisted, swirling branches, standing closely together. Among them, the “King of Jujube Trees” has a trunk circumference of over 190 cm, and several of its lateral branches also reach diameters of 120 cm. During the War of Resistance Against Japan, Japanese puppet troops searched for early communists such as Liu Hansheng and Wang Congwu in the Qiankou area and carried out frenzied mop-up operations against the Red Sandy Region revolutionary base. The jujube trees on the outskirts of Qiankou Village were destroyed, but those in the center survived. To this day, the newly replanted jujube trees on the periphery contrast sharply with the ancient trees in the inner circle. The ancient jujube trees still thrive vigorously, serving as living witnesses to the storms of war.
