Pangjiabao Primitive Forest is located in Nian’ergou and is a secondary primeval forest with rich biodiversity and a complete range of rare species. The forest mainly consists of tree species such as larch and birch. In spring, peach blossoms bloom all over the mountains; in summer, the cool mountain spring water helps relieve fatigue; in autumn, red leaves compete in splendor; and in winter, the snow-covered landscape is especially enchanting. Pangjiabao is also a former revolutionary base area, featuring sites such as the martyr’s tomb of militia hero He Jin, Japanese puppet gun towers, and the Longyan Iron Mine’s Ten Thousand People Pit.
